‘My Encounter, Why I Stop Womanising’ Majid Michel Finally Opens Up

Ghanaian actor, Majid Michel has finally opens up on his encounter, why he stopped womanising and how he is now a changed person.

Majid Michel may not appeal to you as the religious type due to his expertly played playboy roles in movies but the light-skinned actor has hinted that he could be as religious as any devout Christian.

Michel, in a recent interview in Lagos, said he believes the gospel of Jesus Christ should be incorporated into every culture and tradition. He further said that Jesus came to establish the kingdom of Heaven on earth to replace some traditions.

“I have just realised that the authority of Jesus Christ must be asserted in every culture and tradition.

“I believe that Jesus came to purge these cultures and to take them away. Also, He came to take away our traditions and to replace them with His kingdom on earth. I believe that the real culture is the way of God,” he said.

He also said, much to the disappointment of some critics, that he is not a womaniser. He said although he likes women a lot, he does not go beyond that.

“I like women a lot, but I don’t mess around with them. I am not a womaniser. I am just drawn to a lot of women and it ends there”, he stated.

Majid who also gave account of his experience on the set of his just concluded first movie production, Ayamma, which was shot in Akwa Ibom State, said producing a movie far from his country was challenging.

He said, “Leaving home to a very distant land to shoot a movie in a forest full of insects and darkness was quite challenging for me. We didn’t put on tops while the shooting lasted. Even if we did, it still would not have prevented all kinds of insects — not just mosquitoes — from biting our faces, bare feet and hands.”
